7 Years You Oughta Know

Time flies. I remember the first VH1 You Oughta Know promo I produced back in 2007. The artist was Paolo Nutini and I was so anxious about the spot hitting air that I checked with scheduling and watched the spot hit air at 8:05 a.m. Since then I've been able to interview and produce interstitials for some of the most impressive artists in the music industry. Adele, Lorde, Bruno Mars, Haim: to name a few. But the artist whose beta interview tape I still have at my desk is Amy Winehouse. I'm lucky to have been in her presence and see what unapologetic talent is.

Recently I produced some spots for the 2014 VH1 You Oughta Know Live in concert program. Part of the campaign included spots from YOK alumni. Hearing the artists speak about the You Oughta Know campaign and how it helped their careers was one of the more fulfilling moments I've had while working at VH1. Enjoy the spots:)
